Nick Ashdon - General Manager

After graduating from Trinity College, Cambridge, Nick trained at RADA. His film credits as an actor include El Greco in EL GRECO (directed by Iannis Smaragdis and scored by Vangelis, Official Selection at the Toronto International Film Festival) and the lead role in GODFORSAKEN (directed by Jamil Dehlavi, Winner: Best International Film - Worldfest International, and Golden Palm Award – Mexico International Film Festival).

Nick’s work as producer includes the feature film BLOODED, released in the UK in 2011 by Revolver Entertainment, and the short film BELLA FLEACE GAVE A PARTY, starring John Standing and Sian Phillips.

James Walker - Artistic Advisory Board

James graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge, with First Class Honours. His work as a published scriptwriter for film and theatre has gathered awards (Kings Cross New Writing Award, HTV Award, Best Short Film Raindance) and led him to a commission at the National Theatre, London. His theatre work has been produced in the UK and US and is published by Oberon Books. His screenwriting masterclasses at the Telegraph Hay Festival sell out each year. His latest screenplay, BLOODED, was distributed theatrically in the UK by Revolver Entertainment.

In 2004, James co-founded Young Film Academy (YFA) with Ed Boase. Young Film Academy (YFA) is now the UK's leading provider of practical filmmaking education to young people aged 6-19. YFA helps over 7,500 young people each year complete their first digital films, working in over 100 schools nationwide. Young Film Academy provides expertise and filmmaking facilitation for a diverse range of organizations including BBC, Tate, London Children's Film Festival and the Barbican Centre.

Ed Boase - Artistic Advisory Board

Ed is a graduate of the London College of Printing BA Film & Television course. His short films One Small Leap, Into Swans and Home Video gained significant recognition at film festivals worldwide, winning awards including Best Short (Raindance) and have been screened on the BBC, Canal+ and HBO. BLOODED (released Revolver Entertainment, 2011) is his feature film directorial debut.

In 2004, Ed co-founded Young Film Academy with James Walker. Having made his first film at 17 years old, and recognising the vast number of young people interested in filmmaking, Young Film Academy was born. YFA runs film workshops, seminars and masterclasses for young people across the UK.

Michael Deeley - Consultant

Oscar-winning producer Michael Deeley has produced over thirty movies, including The Italian Job, Blade Runner and The Deer Hunter. Previously Managing Director of British Lion Films and EMI Films Ltd, Michael is now Deputy Chairman of The British Screen Advisory Council.
